It is not quite time for starting our US trip yet, however, we feel that it is time to start our vlog! 2017 will be a busy year for us. Andrea will have her final (oral) exams for her M.A. degree in June after a three-year baby break. Three years of tremendous joy, but also plenty of personal issues on many different levels. We are now accepting our family to be complete as it is, and it is time to embrace life fully again. After the oral exams, Andrea will be able to concentrate on finishing her 11-year documentary project ON THE ROAD TO AL JOLSON with a final trip to Lithuania and a final trip to the USA before starting with the post-production. Then it is time for our personal, extensive US family trip to visit family and friends, many of whom we have only known from Facebook so far - something we want to change! Behind every close, digital friend, there is a person we are eager to meet.
We will regularly share videos with you while traveling through the USA. But before we start hitting the road, we will give you a chance to get to know us a little better. So, we will post videos that show you how we live and how our lives look like at the moment. The first video will be posted this month (January 2017). Meet the BRENTstoneS! Enjoy! We will welcome you with open arms! I would be happy to suggest a route and places to see, and things to do. When you have a rough idea of your route, let me know. Obviously, if you come in the winter, start in the south, and move across to the southwest. I highly recommend our National Parks, known as America's Best Idea! Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming was the world's first national Park. It remains one of the best. I have been there twice. There are national military parks, monuments etc. However, it's the National Parks that have the natural wonders. Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Yosemite are some of the others which are really special. 1/16/2017 05:37:23 pm
